			Compatibility investigations between a firms' products and various cleaning solutions. We were asked to verify that it was safe to use certain products on polymeric and composite components. This image shows the effect of a solvent on an acrylic block in a three point bend

	Fire testing on composite laminate faced aluminium honeycomb sandwich panels as part of a development project to achieve approval for use on high-speed ferries (right and below)


			Salt spray testing. We undertake tests to comply to DEF STAN 03-11/4

	Artificial weathering. We have recently aquired a QUV fluorescent artificial weathering unit; this produces short wavelength UV light (consistent with that in the damaging UV waveband of the solar spectrum) which is known to lead to degradation of polymers.
